2015 AFRICA OIL & GAS INVESTMENT ASSEMBLY INFORMATION

Africa’s largest O&G conference focused on financing and investment opportunities

The 2015 Africa Oil & Gas Assembly is a corporate development, strategy and investment focused meeting designed for attendees to meet, identify and discuss:

  • Corporate development opportunities both in Africa and internationally
  • New investment opportunities across the booming Africa O&G landscape
  • Effective management strategies and practices to overcome emerging business challenges Deal flow and capital emanating to and from the region
  • How to successfully access international capital markets and active investment community.

The success of the Oil Council events series is based on high quality networking and deal-making opportunities with an audience of senior buy-side executives, a free and frank flow of ideas amongst influential leaders (supported by CHATHAM HOUSE RULES) and year round global support in cementing relationships made over two days of conferencing.

In 2015, the Africa Assembly will bring together 800 senior oil and gas executives from across the O&G, finance and investment sectors to Paris for insightful thought leadership and high-end CEO-level networking. Additionally we host the prestigious Summer Dinner where we present the annual African Business Executive of the Year Award.

See what some of the 800 attendees from the 2014 Africa Assembly had to say:

"For me, this has been the most production conference and gathering of oil and gas professionals I’ve ever attended. Suddenly, there is so much appetite and so much capital looking for good investment opportunities in Africa and in Nigeria in particular.”
Abdulrazaq Isa, Co-Founder and CEO, WalterSmith Petroman

“Many of the other conferences are far more technical and low level. At my level at the company where I work, I look for a conference where I can make serious networking contacts. What I like about this particular Assembly is the level of the executives that are present.”
Dr Mark Fenton, General Manager, Dana Gas

“Everyone is here, all across the value chain, be it the service providers, the lawyers, the accountants and of course the bankers."
Adeniran Aderogba, CEO, Calag Capital Limited

“Africa is a vast continent; in East Africa its exploration and in West Africa it’s monetizing shallow discoveries. This is a must attend event on the calendar.”
Rob Shepherd, CEO, Azonto Petroleum

“We like the Oil Council. They fit into our strategy and we hope to continue to have this platform to put our message out there. You will find even public policy makers using this platform to say things to a global audience.”
Chiagozie Hilary-Nwokonko, Managing Partner, Streamsowers & Kohn

“There is a huge bandwith – you can meet with all companies and government officials. You get to see many international players and a lot of our clients are here.”
Ramin Lakani, General Manager, Halliburton

“The good thing about the Oil Council Africa Assembly is that it’s well-attended and a good mix of advisors and industry. The off-the-record conversations we’ve had have been very educational and we picked up on things that we wouldn’t have at an ordinary event.”
Nick Cooper, CEO, Ophir Energy

“What I find particularly unique about the Oil Council is the combination of industry, the funding bodies and the people who are providing the capital which allows us to go about our business. It’s the combination of those elements in the same room which makes it such a productive, enjoyable and interesting forum.”
Patrick Allman-Ward, CEO, Dana Gas
